Selfie With Flowers B
The Story Behind the Design
This design tells the story of a quiet act of love — the kind that doesn’t ask for attention but hopes to bring a little light when things feel heavy.
Sylvester sensed something through social media — Kaya had posted something that hinted she wasn’t in the best place emotionally. He knew where she might be, because when Kaya was feeling down, she would often visit the central flea market — a place that brought her small comforts through its colors, crafts, and charm.
He went there. And as if guided by instinct, he found her — wandering softly, surrounded by things she loved, but still carrying a weight in her eyes. Sylvester didn’t speak much. He simply walked beside her, sharing the silence.
Then she paused at a flower stall. She stood there for a while, admiring the fresh blooms, before moving on. That’s when Sylvester felt a quiet calling. He told her he needed the restroom — a small lie wrapped in intention — and slipped away.
Back at the flower stall, he asked the florist, “Which bouquet would cheer up a sad girl?” The florist smiled and said, “Any of them.” He picked one — the one she had looked at the longest.
With no cash in hand, he arranged a quick exchange with a neighboring stall, sending a digital transfer in return for some notes. Then he returned to the florist, paid for the flowers, and quietly handed them to Kaya.
She was caught off-guard — and then she smiled.
Later, she pointed out another bouquet someone else was holding and said she liked it more. Sylvester was already half-joking about swapping flowers with that person when she stopped him, laughing. Her mood had lifted.
This design captures the pose Sylvester struck while holding the bouquet. Kaya said it looked effortlessly cool — and so she snapped a picture. That moment became this chapter.
Because sometimes, love is knowing without asking. It’s walking side by side in silence. It’s flowers bought with intention — because she paused, and he noticed. And sometimes, it’s just holding them the right way… at the right time.
